Accelerator Series Fly Lines High performance fly lines that optimize your casting technique for long, controlled distance casts. Created for big water fly fishers, steelheaders and more advanced casters who need the extra distance, the unique weight forward taper provides dynamic line speed for casts beyond the norm. The super smooth surface finish reduces friction through the guides.
Accelerator — Color: Green. This is a good general purpose dry fly, nymph and streamer line with an extra long head that allows advanced casters to carry more line in the air. Made with RIO’s new supple coating, this line is great for tangle free fishing and no memory off the reel. Retains high line speed, tight loops and problem free shooting for maximum distance.
Accelerator X — Color: Tan. High performance line for expert fly fishers. Use in hot weather, 80 – 100 F (27c – 38c), such as Montana’s famous Missouri River during the July and August Trico hatches. When competing lines become spaghetti and will not shoot through the guides, the Accelerator X, with its hard coating, retains the casting loops and will shoot––either when you’re casting or slipping line downstream on a reach cast. This line requires slight stretching before fishing in colder weather.
