All right, when you are done giggling, take heed! This fly has been directly developed to catch fish, not to sell flies, to CATCH FISH! This fly, argumentatively, is the best Silver Salmon fly know to fly-anglers. George Davis, an Alaskan bush pilot, developed this particular fly. The Spanker is a highly effective and relatively easy fly to tie. We have found that it doubles as an excellent Steelhead fly as well. The particular tie shown has bead chain eyes, which is a deviation from the original tie recipe. Weighted and tied in any steelhead color, this fly could be the ticket to greater success. Tie some up and go Steel heading!
