(click image for detail) | Fly of the week: Red quill wet Sure everyone knows about the Western red quill, but did you know that fishing a wet during before and after a hatch is the most productive? This week’s fly of the week spotlights one of the least used patterns I know. If you find yourself a miss as to what you need to tie on then give the red quill wet a try. Most of trout feeding goes on beneath the surface a well-placed wet fly can be just the ticket. This fly is best fished using a wet swing. Tie up few and give it a go, you won’t be disappointed. |
